Focus of the thesis:
Development of a constitutive flow curve equation for an OTTO-FUCHS alloy using AI methods
Creation of a comprehensive database for training, testing and validation purposes, including both literature data and internal experimental results
Comparison of model fit and performance with phenomenological and experimental results
Increasing the efficiency of OTTO-FUCHS forging simulation by integrating the final AI model as a subroutine in our forming software
- Enrolled student in the field of engineering, natural sciences, computer science or comparable degree programs
- Enjoy and have initial experience in the fields of artificial intelligence, simulation and metallurgy
- Enthusiasm for topics such as machine learning, Python programming and numerical methods
- Structured and independent way of working, combined with the willingness to work effectively in a team
